Notice of Cancellation of the 2020 Shelby Hamfest

Due to safety concerns and restrictions due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, it is with great sorrow that the Shelby Amateur Radio Club has voted to cancel the 2020 Shelby Hamfest. We feel that we would not be able to ensure the quality that our Hamfest attendees have come to expect from “The Grandaddy Of Them All” (“IF” we were able to have the Hamfest at all).

We had hopes that the restrictions may be lifted by September, but it seems now that things are moving slower than anticipated and we needed to make a decision before “the last minute” to give attendees time to cancel hotel and travel reservations.

We are sorry to disappoint the faithful Vendors and Attendees that have made our Hamfest a “Labor Day Tradition” since 1957 and we hope that you will plan to rejoin us at the 2021 Hamfest.

If you have sent in deposits for Camping, Vendor Spaces or Flea Market, your money will be refunded as soon as possible. If you have purchased pre-registration tickets, money will NOT be refunded but those tickets WILL be good for the 2021 Hamfest. (If you lose your ticket stub, we will have a record of your purchase so it will still be good).

We hope to see you at the 2021 Shelby Hamfest on Labor Day weekend!
See you September 3-5, 2021
