2009 Field Day
  
This year the 2009 ARRL Field day for ARES of Cleveland County
and Shelby Amateur Radio Club was held at Casar Park in Casar. Those that
were able to make it know what a blast we all had. Those that were unable
to make it, we hope you can make it next time!
There were numerous visitors, an ATV demonstration by Doc
Skinner, K4GBS, use of solar power for a number of contacts and a session
(training/recruitment) for the Red Cross ECRV by Joe Getlein, W1FAI.
This year we used our new club callsigns, K4KUT and
W4PZH. These were the callsigns of our founding members. We will
re-evaluate the use of these callsigns, among other things, after this field
day.
